YOUR REASON FOR LIVING
Life has a design. The design of life is the reason for living. Before a piece of equipment is built, the maker asks himself the reason for making the equipment. Before a house is built the builder sits down and designs the proposed building. The design is an expression of the reason for building the house.
Our life is much like a building. it was first designed before it was built. The Maker designed our life for a reason before he made us and sent us here. This is what is called purpose, the reason for living.
What is your reason for living? Why are you here? Life is not an accident. There's a specific reason for which you're living. Find it because your success in life depends on it.
Purpose expresses the reason for which someone is living, which should normally be in line with what he wants in life. I say a person's purpose should normally be in line with what he wants in life because what many people want is not in accord with their purpose.
One tragedy of living without specific purpose is that life becomes a drudgery. The life lacks clarity, consistency, stability and focus. The life becomes like a pebble at sea tossed to and fro by the waves of the world. The life has no definition, no direction, no destination.
Your reason for living is the a to your personal success in life. Knowing your reason for living will open opportunities to become all you were created to be. Knowing your reason for living gives you a reason to live and what to live for. Your purpose for living helps you to live life to the fullest and not just exist. You have a reason to stay alive and make everyday count. Knowledge is power. Therefore knowing why you are alive powers your life forward, energizes your energy and makes your effort effective.
Purpose is the maker's blueprint for the created thing. Your purpose is your Creator's blueprint for your life, your life definition, direction and destination. Your purpose is what the Creator intended for you to attain and accomplish while you are here. It is your personal reason for living.
Even though it is personal, purpose is not private. It's not your own thing done in your own way. It's your Creator's intent inbuilt for your to accomplish.Your Creator put it in you for you to accomplish to his glory and your own fulfillment. So you cannot create your purpose. You can only discover it.
When I ask people, "What's your purpose in life?" The chorus answer has always been, "To worship God" or "To glorify God." Yes, but that's only half true. That's the Creator's general purpose for all created things - even trees, mountains, the seas, and all animals were created to bring glory to God. The second half is that there's a specific purpose each of us is here to accomplish. That's the Creator's blueprint for our life. Personally, we each have to discover our individual specific purpose and live accordingly. Without this important discovery, no one can be said to have lived a successful life.
